Job Summary:

The DSS Software Tester/QA Analyst 3 is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through designing, executing, and maintaining both manual and automated test cases. This role involves identifying and tracking defects, collaborating with developers and stakeholders, and contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Design and execute test cases based on functional and technical requirements.
• Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, QA leads, and stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain and update test documentation and coverage reports.
• Support regression testing efforts and contribute to automation initiatives.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in manual and/or automated software testing.
• Familiarity with test case management tools such as JIRA and Xray (minimum 4 years experience).
• Hands-on automation scripting experience (minimum 5 years).
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Advanced knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Certifications related to software testing and quality assurance.

Special Considerations:

• Candidates must physically reside within the United States for the duration of the assignment, in compliance with Commonwealth of Virginia security policies.
• On-site work required; interviews conducted in person only.

Scheduling:

• Assignment duration from August 3, 2026, to June 20, 2027.
• Standard work schedule with possible coordination based on project needs.
