Role: Functional QA Tester Salesforce

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

The Salesforce Functional QA Tester is responsible for validating that software applications meet business requirements function correctly and deliver high-quality user experience the role involves test planning test execution defect management and collaborating closely with cross functional teams in Agile environment

Key Responsibilities

• Test Planning Documentation Analyze business requirements user stories and functional specifications Create test scenarios test cases and test data for functional regression integration and system testing Prepare test plans test coverage matrices and traceability documentation
• Test Execution Execute manual test cases across UI API backend and workflows Perform smoke functional regression integration and end-to-end testing Validate business rules data flow error handling and cross module functionalities Perform API testing using tools like Postman Swagger etc. Verify data integrity via SQL queries basic to intermediate
• Defect Reporting Tracking Log defects with detailed reproduction steps severity and impact analysis Track retest and close defects using tools like JIRA ALM Rally or similar Participate in defect triage meetings with developers and business stakeholders
• Collaboration Communication Work closely with Product Owners Business Analysts Developers and Scrum Masters Participate in Agile ceremonies daily standup sprint planning grooming retrospectives Provide regular testing status updates and share test metrics reports

Qualifications

• 7 to 9 years of total Salesforce testing experience
• Hands on Customization APEX Visual Force Triggers Batch and Schedule Apex
• Understanding Salesforce SFDC Architecture concepts is required
• Experience with insurance domain applications and policy administration systems Also should have worked in Agile methodology projects
• Thorough understanding of QA Processes methodology analytical and operational experience
• Working knowledge of Rally Familiarity with test automation concepts and Salesforce testing tools
• Experience working in largescale enterprise implementations and cross functional teams
• Excellent communication and client facing skills
• Should have attitude of ownership and the drive to be self-starting
